Update
Rivers
The rivers are now open again.
Rectory Pool
is now OPEN, although some swims remain closed until the overhead electricity cable are removed later this year.
Houchins Reservoirs
are OPEN again after the fish kill last year, however there is now a total ban on the use of Pellets (either whole or ground).
Layer Pit
is OPEN, as the old close season on the lake has ceased this year as a trial run, if successful it will remain open permenantly.
Interactive Forum -
This website has in "Interactive Forum" where members can find out the latest info on the Society and its waters, Members are encouraged express their views (within reason) etc in an informal environment relatively free from censorship and control.
Welcome to the original (un-official) website for the members of the Colchester Angling Preservation Society. I originally designed this website to promote the society, however the Society has now created an Official website of its own www.colchesteraps.org. This website will run alongside the other website to promote the Society but on an un-official basis.
