Joyce's Chase

This water of 2 acres set in open countryside at Goldhanger near Maldon. Joyces Chase is a well established, but presently unused, irrigation Reservoir of slightly in excess of 2 acres and with maximum depth of over 10ft. It is quite weedy in places but does contain a small population of fast growing carp with weights into the low "20's" also present are some small Tench. The fishery is primarily a carp water with eight swims to avoid overcrowding.

DIRECTIONS
From Colchester take the B1022 (Colchester - Maldon) turning off left in Heybridge into Goldhanger road (B1026). Follow this road through Goldhanger turning right into Joyce's Chase, where after a few hundred yards turn right towards Highams Farm, The venue can be found further along the lane on the right hand side,
PARKING
Parking is on the grass area to the side of the reservoir and definitely not on the track.
