# Husband and Wife category is only available for Adult Category members. Not applicable for Disabled or Senior Citizens who must join as individual members.
*** Layer Pit is subject to a limited number of members,and anyone wishing do fish at Layer Pit must fo at least FOUR work parties currently and pay the appropriate fee.
Please note this upgrade fee is a once only joining fee, however if the membership is not renewed for a season the work parties & fee is payable again (subject to vacancies). It was introduced as a way of encouraging members to retain their membership and not as a way of charging more money
Work Party Details
Anyone wishing to obtain a Layer permit must attend at least four work parties (with at least two of them not at Layer Pit).
It would be appreciated if anyone attending a work party could, if possible bring tools such as barrows, spades, picks, saws etc Pensioners or less abled members are ovbiously not expected to do any heavy work, simply picking up litter etc or pruning back the bushes is perfectly acceptable.
The work parties are listed on the Match fixture/water closure list shown on the main part of this website.
They are normally from 9am til 1pm (Check list to confirm dates and times)
Attendees of work parties are given a voucher for each work party which must be sent to the membership secretary along with the appropriate fee for the Layer Pit upgrade.

Postal Applications must also supply a stamped self adressed envelope
As part of a mutual agreement between both Societies fully paid C.A.P.S. members may join G.A.P.S. at half price (and vice versa). This may be done by contacting G.A.P.S membership secretary (see details on their website in our links section) or obtain membership from Breakaway Tackle in Ipswich. Simply take your current membership card as proof of identification.
Layer Pit Membership is not available at Half Price
Any member attempting to defraud both Society's by attempting to join both at half price will be banned from both Society's
