Open All Year
The Society owns this attractive lake of 4 acres set in open countryside near Witham, and Hatfield Peverel.
Over the last few years this lake has transformed from a bleak hole in the ground to a very attractive lake,
where it is a pleasure to sit down, relax and admire nature.
The lake is a general fishery with fish of varied species including Bream, Tench, Crucians, Roach, Rudd and Ghost Carp. Also present are many Carp with a few fish into double figures and a couple of 20's as a bonus. Surprisingly, for a stillwater there are also some good Chub. A handfull of catfish used to live in here, however these have now been removed.
This water has a wide and varied selection of species
Parking is easy and access for disabled anglers is good.
