Charitable causes

Postby Alan Goodrum » Tue Jan 10, 2006 11:59 am

Does anybody know of a charitable cause where second hand / unwanted fishing tackle can be donated for young people to use to try out fishing.

Phat Dave's Charity Emporium not to be included .

There used to be ads about in the press but I haven't seen one for a while.

as the drug advisor in Kent I used to set up county angling days and equip local youth projects with equipment so that they could be introduced to alternatives to drug misuse and crime. you may benefit from talking to Dave ball who is also trying to set something up in romford for 16-25 year olds. if you are stuck come back to me.

We take young homeless people who live in our hostel fishing. We managed to raise some gear from a deal with decathalon, but any additional gear would be welcome

If you would like to know more feel free to pm me
