were expecting the photos back in 3-4 days then he will be putting them into carp talk, then everyone will be able to see this long fighting machine, incase anyone is intrested i will give you a brief capture report, we both turned up at about 3pm where we had baited up on the wednesday with 5k of scopex squid,,at 12 midnight i had a run of bream 5 in total all about 3-5lbs, 0100 and away went steves right hand rod it seemed to be bream all the way in and right at the net the hook pulled we think this was carp but not intirly certain,so he replaced his rod right tight up against the island before he had a chance to set the bobbin his left rod very slowly pulled up to the top,he hit it and just dragged it in,it was without doubt a big carp and after only 20-40 seconds i netted a big carp for him.it weighed a massive 42lb14oz a new pb common for him only a 44lb mirror stopped it from being a new pb in total. :D

Sounds as if could be true.. If so the place will be rammed till this time next year.

Down there for 3 nights at half-term.

Heard stories of someone losing a big fish going on 40+ but u never know.

Before you know it will be teathered and dead.

Why wouldn't pre-baiting be allowed???
Think there is no rule about pre-baiting.
25lb Prestons common, about time.

im sure i saw a guy holding a sixty myself the other day, he didnt take any photos though as it was too small.

so many stories of big fish in this water but from every person not one has been able to provide a photo. i just simply wont believe any person on that lake unless i see the thing with my own eyes!
leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but memories.
