Tosspots.

Can you imagine if a mainstream political party dared try to raise this as an issue.

And as for the animal cruelty aspect to our sport the idiots would further the cause of the animal better by banning premiership football. Think of all those intensivley reared cattle bread for meat pie filling.

with a bit of luck the green people will think twice about confronting the angling comunity with the threat of a ban. they may have succeeded with fox hunting but, they had a fairly minor following compared to fishing.

I voted to ban fishing!

(But I was living in New Zealand at the time and the Taiwanese were using drift nets and killing whales, Dolphins, etc as part of catching fish).

Like most anglers in the UK we care about fish welfare - which takes the argument away from the Anti's.
