i have fished one lake from colchester piscatorial (spelling?) society a few years back, was a lovely lake just near colchester, is it boxford or boxted, can never remember. dont know about any others though.

if you are looking for a bit of a runs club, the colne angling club has a few waters which have some fun fishing. its just down the road from colchester. they have a couple of lakes around pebmarsh, one actually feeds into pebmarsh.

if ya want any more info pm me and i can see what i can do.

I think it's £42 Sam, actually, because I had a half-price Winter ticket which cost me £21.

Colin, you should be aware that fishing is during daytime only, and that Colnes waters generally have large numbers of small to medium carp, a bit like Paxmans, which might not be what you want.

Barbed hooks are banned and boilies can only be used as hookbaits (no loose feed etc) as far as I know.

Would it not be better to get in touch with the Colne club direct. I'm sure they could answer all your questions, quickly and more accurately.

It would save wasting space on this forum
