Yes, when you rejoin, the fixture list, including work parties will be found in your new rule book.

Would it not be an idea to post them on the forum in advance?

What a fine example of how to antagonise a member who asked a perfectly civil question.

Was well and truely prepared to offer my services - just wanted a bit of advance notice of when they where. Might be having second thoughts now. :D

How was I being antagonistic. I answered in a perfectly polite and honest fashion.

It was the second answer that was antagonistic

TomB wrote:No need, they will be in the rule book.

And it appears that the member was antagonised judging by his reply.

Don't worry Tom, these are the last 2 posts ( out of a total of 3 ) from mooney

Is it just me being over sensitive, but some of the recent posts on this forum by some of the committee members seem to be either abrupt, sarcastic, arrogant, aggresive or sometimes downright rude.

What a fine example of how to antagonise a member who asked a perfectly civil question.

Something tells me that mooney doesn't like the committee.........

I was only after a bit of advanced warning as i wanted to make sure that i could be available for these. The other half works some weekends, so i was trying to arrange her work around what i wanted to do. It's no problem - i'll see what i can do when their :) issued in the rule book.

onamission, thanks for your offer of help, the work parties will not be starting until Sunday 9th April, therefore there is no rush. Hope to see you there

Which ones are you interested in attending?

As many as i possibly can Tom. I only joined CAPS this season but i would like to put something back into the club and help maintain OUR waters. I'm also talking with Steve Dormer about bailiffing.

He's got a point though. Why not give members as much notice as possible so they can arrange things? The rule books don't get sent until after 31st March do they? In that case the work parties sheduled for early April would be very short-noticed. Although I thought the work party dates were normally detailed on the newsletter, which goes out soon, aren't they Tom?

I am currently writing the newsletter as this is posted. it will going to the printers early next week and should be through your door within a couple of weeks. You will also receive the membership applications form, and of course when you join, a membership booklet which will outline all of the water closures and working parties.

Membership joining "stuff" will be in the shops soon, therefore you will be able to join within the next couple of weeks, and obtain a rule book.

As Kevan has already stated, this info will also be on the newsletter, which will arrive with your invitation to renew shortly.

Guys,

As I ran most of the non Layer Work Parties last Year I did give at least one weeks notice of Water Closures.

Nothing has changed, I will be advising all forum users of planned Water Closures. However, its only Mid February and as the first working party is not until Early April, some six weeks away, I think this may be a bit ""premature"".

In other words "I Don't Want You All Coming Too Quick"

:bigsnigger: :bigsnigger:

As for the remaining 1900 members of the club a newsletter will be coming out soon and as Tom stated these are listed in the new Rulebook.....

Regards

Steve

Josh,

Don't tell lies, You don't go to school on Sundays.....

Anyway you worked hard enough on the Bovington Track last season to allow you to take a year off......

I suppose you could call it a CAP year rather than a GAP year
