Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation. The Chelmer is canalised from Chelmsford through to Heybridge Basin, I think. Somewhere along its route it is joined by the River Blackwater, near Maldon I believe.

I'm not totally sure, but I think I am on the right lines.

The Chelmer canal has just been leased from Chelmsford through to the sea at Heybridge Basin by Maldon Angling Society, to reduce the cost burden they are sharing the venue with Chelmsford A.A.

The close season applies to that canal and subsequently does not re-open until June 16th.
