The Garrison...

Hi All,

Just wondered if any members have fished the garrison over last six months. I know it changed "hands" for last season and was curious on whats been coming out an at what weights.
Are season tickets still available via Snags ????. Also is there limited members??

A mate was member around three years ago and really ripped the place apart while field testing, in one season fish weight increased by average 5 lbs, with three fish topping 30 and another 3 going 29lb an ounces, have these beauties grown on or dropped back to mid 20's. Pre baiting got banned the following season and wondered if this affected fish weight.

Changed hands again. Snags no longer do tickets and have not heard that the new owner has advertised it yet.

Its a shame the bait didnt keep going in, some of these fish could of pushed on alittle. Is that old mirror tyson still in there as well ???.
Know they old fish but most were beautifully conditioned, also have to say the lake was stunning last time I walked round.
Used to have a big problem with Rudd, ie too many of them. Made surface fishing very difficult and also limited use of particle.

Was installed due to depth changing, In heavy rain or really dry weather it can vary quickly, it was installed to raise and lower with waters depth.

In years gone past the garrison has become a bit of a dump. With a new owner a lease we hope to turn things around.
Recentley there has been a lot of work undertaken, by some of the new members. ie clearing rubbish, security, swim work.
Lets hope it can be turned around in the near future?

lets also hope that the members who pay there fees dont get half way through a season then find that sumwhere along the line the money they paid hasnt been given to the right person and therefore lose the right to fish it . also what has happened to the fish that where in there ?
