UK Outlook for Tuesday 10 Feb 2009 to Thursday 19 Feb 2009:
A good deal of dry weather seems likely for the first week of this period but it will still be cold generally with overnight frosts and perhaps some fog patches. Some wintry showers continuing, especially in northern areas and with a risk of some very windy conditions with heavy rain or snow over the far south at first on Tuesday and in the far northwest on Thursday. Through the week end and into the following week there is considerable doubt over developments. It looks likely to remain unsettled and cold. Some dry periods but also further showers or longer spells of rain and with a continuing risk of some snow in places, especially over the hills.
