i use mono as main line but have used braided line on a marker rod, and found it to be better, but not sure if i would use it as main line, due to the price lol but as use it on marker rod, becasue you can feel every knock!

I only use braid on a spod rod as it does not stretch and when clipped up helps you cast to a fixed distance.

Even catting in France i use mono (40lb bs) as it has some give which helps when a cat lunges close to the net. :)

Moved to braid (40lb power-pro) two seasons ago and never going back to mono, unless the fishery rules prevent the use of it of course.
I use it for all my catfish, carp & pike/zander fishing and have total confidence in the stuff.
Cost wise... £24.99 for 300 metres seems a lot to pay at first, but you will get a least 4 seasons worth of fishing out of it for that price.
ATB.

I can't really vote, then again that won't really bother the mass', as I use both, braid for shy biting bream at Pebmarsh and mono for all other aspects.
