The clock is up to you. If you go into your "Profile" you can change the time to GMT or whatever you prefer. It is done this way so that you can set the time for wherever you are in the world and the posts will be shown at a time relative to where you are.

The core clock time is set on the host server and may differ from the actual time by a few minutes depending on when the time was last reset by the Website Host Provider. For those of you who are interested I currently use supanames.co.uk for hosting as they offer good facilities at a low cost. If any of you out there are budding webmasters I would recommend them as they currently charge less than £40 per year to host this website.
