Rockingham Lake - June 2006

This water of 2 acres set in open countryside near Layer Marney, It is stocked with a variety of small carp up to around 15lb and a few small rudd and Tench.The fish stocks were increased in June/July 2006 with the addition of around 100 3-4lb carp.

• Open from 6am til 10pm
• Night fishing is not permited.
• Maximum of TWO rods per person - throughout the year
• Fishing from permanent pegs only

DIRECTIONS

From Colchester take the B1022 Maldon Road, head past Colchester Zoo, through Heckfordbridge and after passing the Heckford Angel Public House carry on for approximately 2 miles until you see Roundbush Road on your left (It is also signed for Layer Marney Tower). Continue along Roundbush Road and carry straight over at the crossroads. After 100 yards turn right into Woodview Road and follow the signs for Rockingham's farm.

From the A12 or Tiptree follow the B1022, Maldon Road towards Colchester, continue for approximately 3 miles and turn right into Haynes Green Road. Follow this road and carry straight over the crossroads, into Stockhouse Road and follow to T-junction, where turn right. Continue along this road until it converges with the farm itself. Follow the farm track through the yard and out through the stables. Follow the track and then turn right where the toilet and car park will be visible. Please keep to the farmyard speed limit of 5 Mph.
