Wiston Millpool

Click here to see the AERIAL MAP From Colchester, take the A134 towards Nayland. Coming down the hill towards the Stour, there is a turning on the left, Water Lane. Take this road and follow for about half a mile. Visible on the right at the entrance to a track is a green CAPS sign. Cars can be driven down the track to the river, although turning space is tight. Aternatively, park on suitable verges on Water Lane. The river is at the end of the track, Wiston Mill is about 400 yards upstream, with the fishing up to the pool also under CAPS control.

Water Lane, Nayland

Click here to see the AERIAL MAP About three hundred yards up Water Lane, before the entrance track to Wiston, there is a small layby on the right hand side. Park here, the river is 50 yards away. Alternatively, park beside the A134 next to the Environment Agency depot. This spot, and another just across the river, can also be used for the small triangle area on the North bank of the river.
