This is a new stretch of river that CAPS aqquired for the 2002 season. Offering both shallow and deep swims. This section is more suitable for Autumn and Winter fishing due to the weed growth in the Summer.

Good sized Chub of around 5lb are known to haunt this area also present are dace in good quantities.

Fishing is downstream of the bridge for approximately 3/4 of a mile.

Wormingford

Take the B1508 from Colchester. In Wormingford, take a right turn, signposted to the church, and follow this road down to and over the river. There are a couple of small laybys, 25 to 100 yards from the river.
